Right to Acquire
To qualify for the scheme:
- You must be a Secure or Assured Tenant.
- Your Rent Account must be up to date.
- You must have been renting for at least 2 years.
- The property you rent must be included in the scheme, some properties are excluded.
If you qualify for the scheme:
- You will be asked to complete a Form.
- Your property is valued, to obtain an open market valuation.
- You will be informed of the purchase price.
- You will be informed of the discount value.
- You must have enough income to pay for a mortgage or enough savings to buy the property outright.
