Regulation 36 (Duties of Landlord) of the GSIUR 1998
East Midlands Housing are required under the GSIUR to have gas appliances in properties inspected for safety every 12 months, which requires us to employ the services of CORGI registered gas operatives to carry out the Landlords Gas Safety Check.

The operative needs to have the appropriate proof of competence to carry out the work. All CORGI registered operatives are issued with a CORGI identification card that will have details of the registration on the front and details of the areas of gas work that the operative is deemed competent to undertake on the reverse.
Regulation 36 (GSIUR) specifies what needs to be checked and recorded when carrying out a Landlords Gas Safety Check of all appliances and any flues serving the appliances owned by East Midlands Housing in rented accommodation.
