The Quantum Consortium
For 2008 onwards the partnership of seven housing associations aims to build on the successes of the previous two years. The Quantum Consortium aims to build new affordable homes across the region with EMH acting as the lead investment partner with the Housing Corporation.
The consortium consists of development and partner members with each of the development members already established as a leader in its own specialist field:
EMH is a leading regional housing provider actively working to support sustainable communities, is the lead investment with the Housing Corporation and as such is responsible for overall management of the consortium's programme.
- Futures Housing Group is a social business providing homes and neighbourhood services across the Midlands.
- Derwent Living is a provider of affordable homes, city living and student accommodation
- Wellingborough Homes was established in 2007 as a Housing Association, receiving the transfer of over 4,500 homes from the Borough Council of Wellingborough.
In 2006-2008 all key performance targets set by the Housing Corporation were met, resulting in the continued acceptance of EMH as lead investment partner for the 2008-2011 programme. In the 2008-2011 bid round the Quantum Consortium members collectively secured over £13M of Housing Corporation funds with negotiations for further funding on-going to enable delivery of hundreds of new affordable homes.
